Place a few strands of straw at the bottom of a screw-top jar 32 or 64 ounces “Wide Mouth Jars” with a diameter of 100 mm. Pour two spoonfuls of syrup over it, then screw on the Ornetin trap.

Install the traps horizontally in your preferred location and wait for the first Asian hornets to arrive. Once the trap is baited, they will attract their nestmates. When the traps are full, submerge them in a bucket of water for 6 hours. Afterwards, drain, empty, clean, and add new bait.
